A matching pairs card game with 5 levels themed on Christmas.  Each level increases in difficulty with the final level having you matching 3 cards.

Most of the music used for this game was created by an artist called Magenta Six and was downloaded from Free Music Archive:  https://freemusicarchive.org/music/magenta-six/

Happy Christmas and hope you enjoy the game.

Merry Christmas to you as well. A cool game as usual.

I played the game a few times and it happened only the first time, but one of the cards on level 3 played itself automatically after I played its counterpart. It didn't flip over or anything. It just disappeared and ran the particle effect. It was the card at the bottom right corner, if that matters.

Also, level 4 doesn't have a music track.

Thanks for taking time to play it and for the feedback!  I've had a look at what could of caused that for you but everything seems to be working fine every time I've tested it.  The music is all there but I've updated the game to preload the all the music at the beginning so it should activate more efficiently now.  GDevelop doesn't work as perfect as other game dev software but I still really enjoy making games with it.

I ran the game again. There is now music on level 4.

However, you have introduced a new bug. Instead of images, some cards turn into a small magenta square when you flip them. The game still recognises pairs normally, so all the data seems to be fine, but the images are messed up.

Essentially, all the affected cards are invisible as a result.

When it comes to me and game dev software, I got Godot and GDevelop on my laptop, but I use Love2D. I think it's better than the other two, because there is only code.

GDevelop is too tedious with the whole drag and drop thing. While things are simpler that way, they also take a lot more time. Godot is the same with the node system, where I have to spend more time dragging and dropping, and switching between various tiny scripts, than actually coding those scripts. Nothing wrong with those two, and that's why I have them, but not really enjoyable for me, so I prefer Love2D.

In Love2D, you start by creating an empty file, and have to code everything from scratch. No distractions, no dragging and dropping slowing me down, no editors or interfaces to learn. Just code.

And what's the name and artist of the music from level 5? It's really good, and I'd like to see if I can find it on Youtube and add it to my playlist.

I didn't touch the image files, I just updated the music loading.  It's strange these glitches keep happening for you, it works completely fine on mine and several other friends I've sent it to.  It could be your browser or your computer just doesn't like it lol.

All the levels apart from the completion music and intro music are by the artist I linked on the description page for Magenta Six, you can download it from there and credit them to use it.

Just tried it again quickly. Seems to be working fine now. The fact it might be my laptop's or browser's fault is unexpected, but not unsurprising.
